Tim Holtz Distress Texture Paste in Black is a dimensional medium that dries as you place it, with all the marks, peaks and effects you create. It is smooth dark sooty black medium which dries to an opaque (black) matte finish that is flexible and can be stained, die cut, trimmed, sanded, painted, or altered.
Adding dimension and texture is perfect to use on all kinds of papercrafts, mixed media artworks, display projects, journaling, cardmaking, crafts, collage, scrapbooking and other visual arts adventures.
Apply with a paintbrush, spatula, palette knife or silicon art tool. Paint, scrape, shape and smoosh freehand or blend through stencils for defined shapes and patterns.
Alter the Texture Paste before you begin, or after you have applied the paste to your project. Whichever you wish!
- Before : Mix in a palette or on a craft mat - add powdered mica, glitter, Distress Paint, Reinkers, Oxide Reinkers, or any acrylic paint (Distress sprays may make the paste slimy). Being so dark, some colours might tint the paste, while others may not show a difference. Why not try mixing in glow in the dark paste for a dark spooky glow! Once happy with the mixture, apply to your project and let dry naturally or use a heat tool.
- After : apply the paste using a brush or spatula, then let dry completely before painting, spraying or splattering additional colour using any of your favourite mixed media methods with mediums, inks, paints or sprays.
Clean up all tools and accessories with water before it is dry.
